Orly Rock Solid and Kleancolor Silver Star
I love stars, really…so much that I had them inked into me for my first tattoo a long long time ago. I’m not really “obsessed” with them though, I like stars in moderation 
But ofcourse I’d want them on my nails from time to time too…So I was originally upset that I had missed out on Nicole by OPI Lets Get Star-ted and now can’t find it anywhere. Luckily I stumbled upon Kleancolor Silver Star which is a good enough runner up for me. Finding this polish actually led me to an additional 6 bottles (not all of Silver Star of course..moderation remember) ..so I’m really liking Kleancolor right now. For my introduction to Silver Star I decided to layer it over Orly Rock Solid to give it just a hint of more sparkle.
Have you ever had that feeling when you look at something so aesthetically appealing that you just want to consume it? That’s how Orly Rock Solid makes me feel…I just want to eat it…for a gunmetal fiend like me, this is completely understandable…Orly Rock Solid is gunmetal… sparkly gunmetal goodness with a dash of holographic delight.

Kleancolor Silver Star is a clear base with holographic glitter and chunky stars. As with most polishes that have chunky shapes it takes some work to apply them evenly. I had to really work hard to fish out the stars a lot of the times, otherwise I would have stars on only a couple of the nails. I really love the results though and I did enjoy placing the stars where I wanted them even if it did require some extra work on my part. Removal process was not so enjoyable though, I actually had to use the foil method twice and then scrub some more to get this stubborn glitter combo off.

I applied just one heavy layer of a clear top coat over this, but I would suggest a couple more since sometimes the star edges tend to stick up a little and not adhere completely flat to the nail.
So has anyone else used Kleancolor glitters? I’m wondering if they are all as difficult as Silver Star to remove. I have a bunch more of their glitters to try so I guess I’ll find out at some point!

What a great combination! I’ve been wanting some star glitters or some heart glitters too, but I haven’t got them yet…

Although Nicole by OPI has a heart one as well that I see often.

Haha, glad you like it…you can get Kleancolor for a really cheap price so its totally worth it

I haven’t tried Kleancolor. That combo is AWESOME! Too bad it was such a removal challenge, but it really does look great!
