I don’t think I’ve ever posted a glitter gradient here before. If I have then I guess it didn’t overly impress me enough to remember it. I had a mini bottle of Candeo Colors Mallard for some time now and I could’t figure out what I wanted to layer it over. Then I picked up Zoya Tracie and saw it as the perfect fit for a Mallard gradiant.
Zoya Tracie & Candeo Colors Mallard
Tracie is from the Zoya Beach Collection and is best described as a soft pistachio green with a frosty finish. The frost is just slight so its not too pearly, but its still not a cream.
Mallard by Candeo Colors is just a glitter bomb by itself. Theres so many glitters I cannot really pick them all out, but its mostly of green, purple and silver holo glitter from micro to chunky hex. I’ve loved every Candeo polish I’ve tried because of the amazing combinations of glitter and great quality, Mallard did not disappoint.

In case you are curious, for my gradient I used a make up sponge and tore an edge off to give it texture. Then dabbed Mallard onto it directly from the brush and sponged upward from the tip of my nail about a quarter way to half way up. I prefer to apply polish directly from brush to sponge instead of pouring polish out onto a surface then dipping my sponge. I feel like I get better control by knowing how much the sponge picked up and I’m not waisting any excess polish.
So do you like? I’m pretty pleased with this one

I love that combo of green and purple!!! And that glitter is amazing. Is Candeo Colors one of those shops you have to devote a week to stalk or is it fairly easy to obtain? It’s funny cuz the description of Tracie (light pistachio with frosty finish) sounds DISGUSTING (to me anyway) but looks so pretty! I can’t see any of the frost in these pics (I’m not gonna look closer… I don’t wanna see it!!) and it looks awesome. I hate frosts. I’ve probably liked a COUPLE but overall they do NOT impress me. This however, is AWESOME and super impressive

When I bought all of my Candeo it wasn’t hard to get at all…but now i’d say good luck with the stalking. Haven’t tried to get any since they started putting their shop on vaca too. They just moved their shop to big cartel as well, but I’m not a fan of it with the whole holding product in your basket for 30 min thing. All of their glitters I have so far are AMAZING and such great quality its baffling to look at the bottle lol.
I guess I should have given a more appealing description of Tracie lol. Its definitely a pistachio, but its not truely a cream because of that reeaaaally slight frost finish. I didn’t really think it was a frost until I looked up Zoya’s description cause I couldn’t figure what exactly the finish was. But the frost is barely there even in person…I”m not a fan of frosts either, but I loooove Tracie.

Awesome combination! When I did the glitter gradient, I also loved the way it looked but could not deal with how gritty it felt. OMG…and when I snagged it on my clothes I almost had a heart attack. I also don’t like frosts too much but this is a very pretty color.

Thanks! I don’t like the feeling of really gritty glitters on my nails either, I don’t mind it slightly though. It looks really gritty in the close up, but I applied Gelous over it and it smoothed over the grit.

I think her next opening she is just putting up her top 5 or 6 sellers so there will be more available to get. Still have a few I’m wanting to get my hands on too!
