Orly Bubbly Bombshell

Greetings!!

I’m back with glitter! I feel as though I’ve neglected my glitters lately..and I don’t mean top coat glitters. I’m talking about those heavy full coverage glitter bombs. So I dug into my untrieds and pulled out a sort of oldie, but a definite goody.

Bubbly Bombshell is from Orly’s 2011 Summer Pin Up Collection. I purchased a mini set of the collection from Beauty.com along with my POP Beauty featured in my last post. The set also included Here Comes Trouble (another glitter bomb), Coquette Cutie and Va Va Voom. I’m not too sure of the availability of the mini set anymore, but you should be able to still find the full sized individual bottles rather easily. I love the colors in this collection, but I have to say…I don’t see any relation to pin up anything when I look at them.

Bubbly Bombshell is packed with super fine fuchsia purple glitter and slightly larger sized glitter. It’s really dense as it took only 2 coats for full coverage. The application was very smooth, but dried gritty so I applied 2 coats Gelous to smooth it out.

The color is great, but it would have been really boring if it was just fine glitter so the additional larger glitter makes it awesome :) It’s easy to see the different sized glitter in one coat, but once you reach two coats its much harder spot with all the blinding shimmer so I added a picture of just a swatch of one coat on the back of a  nail wheel.  Why on the back? Simply because I ran out of blank nails and I was too lazy to open a new pack. These things get expensive when you run through them so quick :P

I used RA plate # 114 for my stamping with Konad stamping polish in black. Only my index and ring fingers are stamped. This is due to a few reasons. I was having unexpected difficulty stamping straight, which caused me to take longer in which caused me to lose all my sunlight…which made me bitter. So instead of redoing my two messed up nails I just reapplied Bubbly Bombshell and skipped the stamp. Also, I realized it was covering a lot of the glitter so I wanted to be able to show what it looked like in all its glittery glory.

I’m not feeling the stamp…It kinda looks like I have tire tracks on my nails. I dunno, maybe its my random nail placement due to my bitterness that I don’t like. *shrug*

Love it!!! Almost got the full size at Sally last time but I chose the Dark Shadows one instead.

You’d really like this one, its part of their permanent line now so you have time to procrastinate :)

I was looking at this stamp today trying to decide which to use but decided against this one. I didn’t think it looked like tracks tho.. till I saw your post! haha. I like it just fine tho. Maybe just not my favorite. Anyway- great glitter. I have a love/hate relationship with glitter but I can see how this would be like BLINDINGLY sparkly and I like the color of this one. I’m always happy to deal with the hate of removal when the payoff is sparkle-licious nails! :)

This one wasn’t that hard to take off…but I feel like I say that about every glitter now that I’m so used to glitter removal lol. I’m always amazed now how creams magically come right off with no scrubbing.

Oh I know, right? It’s like they’re off before you even know it. Ahhh it’s magic. :)
