Today’s another China Glaze Summer Neon 2012 day! As I mentioned in my other post featuring I’m With the Lifeguard, my Sally’s only had 5 of the colors in stock…I was very annoyed, but made the best of it by buying all 5 shades they had. I was mostly disappointed because I wanted all of the neon pinks and coral, except for one….Pink Plumeria…which of course was the one pink they had. Ugh… I bought it anyway. So today I gave it a try and I’m warming up to it much more.
Pink Plumeria is a light peachy pink neon that is pretty close to Flip Flop Fantasy when looking at the bottles side by side. On the nail they aren’t too similar as Pink Plumeria has a light golden shimmer and is more on the pink side. FFF is more on the peachy side and has no shimmer…plus its an in your face bright neon unlike Pink Plumeria which is a bit more subtle.
Here is a side by side bottle comparison:
I don’t have a side by side comparison on the nail, but you can see my previous post of FFF here. Pink Plumeria applied just as easily as my first polish from this collection, I’m With the Lifeguard. It wasn’t streaky or watery like other neons tend to be. It built up perfectly in two coats and no need for a white base coat. It dried satiny but still had shimmer, I highly recommend a good top coat to regain the shine.
I tend to unintentionally match my outfit of the day to my current nail color more often than not. Here is an example of how perfectly my dress matched my nails…again totally coincidence. I guess when I have one color on my mind I reaaaallly keep it in mind.
All in all I do like Pink Plumeria even though it was not first choice in this collection. Its Flip Flop Fantasy-ish so how could I hate it. I still plan on getting the rest of the collection!
