Hey Everyone!
What’s a Disco Nap? I know there are a lot of odd polish names out there…but it only occurred to me now …what the heck is a Disco Nap? Like who naps at a disco?? Maybe I’m missing something here…Well obviously I have Disco Nap to share today from Color Club. I received a mini bottle in my last Birchbox which happened to be May’s Gossip Girl themed box. I canceled my subscription soon after I received May’s box. It just was not worth it anymore…how many anti aging eye serum samples can I possibly have, especially when I don’t even use them.
Disco Nap & Jaguar
Disco Nap is a gold metallic foil. Application was good, but as every other metallic and foil there is a good amount of visible brush strokes. I had to keep my mani somewhat toned down again since I’m meeting with a recruiter tomorrow morning. Its really bothering me since I was in the middle of a glitter post and I had to put it on hold! Booooo. So to keep it a little interesting I added an accent nail in Pure Ice Jaguar which is a light gold with gold glitter.
The following pictures are of two coats for both polishes. I actually forgot to put a top coat on before I took pics so these are as is.

Not loving this mani either…I don’t think I’ve loved the last two I’ve done. I need to bring back my glitters.

A disco nap is when you take a nap before heading out to Studio 54. Are you going to try out any other subscription services? I’ll wait to see how the June BirchBox is, they never send me serums,thank goodness.

Ohhhh that makes sense…I still would just call it a nap, but I don’t disco
I really wanted to try Glossy Box since it’s available in the US now, but its much more expensive so I’m holding off for now. I heard good things about the June Birchbox, go figure! I only had it for 5 months and some stuff I got were great, but then it kept declining each month.

Some nail polishes have super weird names lol. Even though your not happy with this mani I still think its pretty

Since I love all things odd, I love this name lol. I think you would like it more as a pedicure while tanning at the beach
I was never a big fan of gold until the Orly Glitz from my bday treasure chest…you swayed me to the dark side with that one!

I like this color but the name is ridiculous. Even if it does mean a nap before you go out to the disco… why not just call it a nap? And what about champagne/gold makes you think of a nap of any kind?!? Whatever! haha While I’m talking about polish names- this is probably an unpopular opinion but can I just tell you how much I hate how Zoya gives all their polishes regular person names?! It makes it impossible for me to remember which ones I want, and lots seem to be 2 syllables so it’s like even HARDER to differentiate. It annoys me. Anyway- nice polish.

Haha I appreciate your passion about this topic! I’m not crazy about Zoya’s names either, I feel like when companies like Zoya and Julep name polishes after real names they just randomly match names with shades ya know…I never remember most of the names either.

Ok, I’m 32 so I had nothing to do with the disco era but I have been using the phrase “disco nap” for the longest time, and I don’t even remember when it started. I still remember my early 20′s and definitely needing a disco nap. lol
So about the polish….meh. I don’t like foil-y colors on me. Some people can pull them off, but I can’t. I’ve been wanting to try Pure Ice polishes because I read a bunch of them are good for stamping. Can you only get them at Wal-Mart?

I feel so out of the loop with the “disco nap” phrase! Oh well haha. Foils are hit or miss with me too, but I wear just about anything at least once even if it looks bad on me
I think Pure Ice is only sold exclusively at Walmart. I hate going there, but I went to find Hard Candy Beetle and saw tons of Pure Ice so I grabbed two. Pure Ice is also sold on Bari Cosmetics website too if you wanna skip the Walmart trip
