Hey Everyone!
I realized today that although I do post glitters more often than not I haven’t posted JUST a glitter, you know the full coverage type. Maybe I prefer wearing them in colder months or maybe I’ve just slowed down the glitter fest. So I grabbed an oldie and went to swatching. My glitter of choice was OPI Extra-va-vaganza (gaaaah I hate this name!..keep wanting to say “Extra-vagina” lol). Anyways.. Extra-va-VAGANZA is from OPI’s Holiday 2010 Burlesque Collection.
Extra-va-vaganza is a dominantly coppery orange glitter accented with a rainbow of multi colored glitter. This polish is versatile since its not too dense on the first coat so you can easily use it as a top coat or do a full coverage mani. If you go full coverage 2-3 coats will suffice, I used 2 for the following pictures.
The Burlesque Collection is pretty hard to find now. You can find some bottles on Ebay and maybe Amazon, but I really don’t think they’re around anywhere else unless you get lucky. I want to kick myself because I was looking at all of the glitters around last November on Amazon trying to decide which ones I wanted, but of course I decided to be good and backed away. Then they were all gone, but I luckily came across a random bottle of Extra-va-vaganza at CVS during a visit home for Thanksgiving. Does anyone else’s CVS have a tiny selection of random older OPI bottles? Its so weird…They’re a little overpriced, but in some situations worth it.
Did anyone even see the Burlesque movie? I had no interest in it when it came out, but I have seen bits of it when it plays on Starz…or Encore which ever of the two it is. Its horrible…BUT at least a collection of awesome glitters came out of it

It looks amazing on you! I don’t have any of the polishes from this collection but they do look gorgeous on pics.

This is the only one I have from the collection, they’re all really gorgeous. They’re a decent alternative if you missed out on the Alice in Wonderland Collection, which of course I missed too!

I have Teasey-Does-It and Take the Stage, both of which are highly recommended. My nail place has quite a few of them (no idea why) but maybe I’ll peak at them again if they are still there on Wednesday.

I LOVE THIS GLITTER…It’s so Halloween Queen goes to the circus!!! I found it last winter on clearance at Harmon, and since it was orange-y, I had to have it! You’re right…it is very versatile as a top coat or full coat. I didn’t want to see that movie either but the collection is amazing!

I never find anything on clearance at Harmon!
I always see those baskets near the register but I’m not sure if those are clearance or just overstock.

I have one of these polishes… but I can’t remember the name of it. It’s kind of a multi-colored glitter… ehhh… idk. Anyway- I really like it and I like this one too! I also (like everyone, it seems) have not seen the movie but a couple of the kids I work with LOVE this movie. They’re about 12 years old and have seen it like a billion times and talked about it allllll the time last summer. Go figure. Love the glitters tho!

Sparkle-icious maybe? Thats the most multi-colored glitter in the collection I think. Christina Aguilera looks about 12 in the movie when she’s not all burlesque-ified so maybe thats why they like it. Plus each generation seems to have worse and worse taste these days
