Hey Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great weekend, it was very nice weather here thank goodness. I tagged along with my boyfriend to go play frisbee golf at the course here for the first time. He’s been playing for many years so I guess after almost 3 years of being together it was time for me to go check it out. I have never been able to throw a frisbee in all my life and that hasn’t changed. The idea of throwing it completely sideways into the forest and having to go look for it was not appealing to me so I only “threw” a few holes. Does anyone here play frisbee golf/ disc golf, frolf…whatever you wanna call it?
Anyway, back to nail polish…I had purchased the Cult Nails Let’s Get Nekkid Collection during presale quite a while ago. I’ve yet to try some of the colors from the collection because I am a horrible horrible person who neglects her polishes for much too long of a time. To make up for myself I decided to dust off Tulum for today’s post.

Looking at Tulum in the bottle it looks like a delicious shade of milk chocolate with flecks of light golden shimmer. What you see in the bottle is exactly what you get on the nail, which is so great because there have been plenty of times a polish loses flakes or shimmer once its on the nail. I used 2 coats for my mani, I really don’t think you would need to go past 2 since the formula is creamy and opaque.

Oooh frisbee golf! lol. I played it when I was a camp counselor at a kid’s summer camp! The kids had a blast lol

This is a good neutral shade to wear on vaca when you need something to go with everything!!! Loving the shimmer!

I think that’s why I haven’t tried the rest of the collection, they seem suitable for a mellow summer option.

Wel, I didn’t stick with it but I don’t dislike it either

When I saw the name of this polish, I don’t know what I expected. I visited Tulum a couple of years ago on a work trip to Cancun. It was beautiful! I think this is a pretty polish but I probably wouldn’t wear it.

I was kind of iffy on this polish too, just because I didn’t think it would go well with my skin tone. I think a lot of the polishes in the Lets Get Nekkid are hit or miss on certain skin tones. The collection was based off of member’s of Maria’s families skin tones so it would make sense that would be a problem. So I get why you wouldn’t wear it.

This is exactly like one of the superpowers polishes… I can’t remember the name… maybe Power Thief..? Anyway- it looks the same except the one I have has silver shimmer instead of this coppery color. I think I like this a little better actually but I was surprised to see such a similar color.
Nowwww…. about frisbee golf (disc golf is the proper term)- I LOVE frisbee golf!!! I’m not particularly good, but it’s a fun drinking game in the summer. We always pack up some bottles of mixed drinks and walk around, drink, throw our frisbees in the blackberry patches and have a good time. We have several courses out here, one of which at a pretty decent campground that we’ve camped at. It’s pretty fun! You should give it another try

You are absolutely right, a lot of people compare it to Power Thief. I don’t have it though so I couldn’t do a comparison. I feel like you should get a prize for your lacquer knowledge there
I guess disc golf does seem more proper then frisbee since they’re not really frisbees you throw. Thats pretty awesome though that you have a bunch of courses. The one near my house is apparently the best (and maybe only?) one in the area, but my boyfriend sometimes goes to JFK park in NY when his friends go. Most of his friends play and one does tournaments all the time and is I guess on professional level or almost professional. *shrugs* at least now I know its not just an east coast thing. I don’t think I’ll ever be frisbee capable though.
