Hey Everyone!
One of my favorite things about summer time are the delicious fruits in season, my favorite of which is watermelon. I know there’s always some debate on whether watermelon is a fruit or vegetable, but I don’t really care what it is, I just know its simply delicious. I’ve gone summers where I’ve eaten almost nothing, but watermelon…I do not recommend this if you don’t want your pee to be weird (too much info?) So it only made sense that I would eventually do a watermelon mani.
To create my watermelon nails I used the following:
Julep “Mandy” (coral pink)
Julep “Kate” (white)
SOPI “It’s Totally Karma” (green)
(L to R) Mandy, Kate, It’s Totally Karma
I had a few bumps in the road while executing this simple design. One of my seeds smudged and my ring finger seemed to be hexed and had to be redone multiple times. Other than that this was a simple design to do and one that I’m sure anyone is capable of.

Soooo…there you have it. My watermelon mani. I think its cute from afar when I can’t notice my little mess ups, but I still much prefer the real thing … *drooling over the thought of sweet watermelon*

I actually had no idea that there was a fruit/vegetable debate over watermelon! =P I always thought of it as a fruit. And I LOVE these watermelon nails, they are super super adorable!! ^.^

I think it’s cause it grows from the ground, thats where the debate between veggie vs fruit comes in. It’s very heated!

I didn’t know there was some debate over watermelon being fruit v veg! That’s interesting. And I didn’t know it made your pee weird!! Haha. Very informative post!
I love these nails. I don’t mind the tiny smudge by the seed at all, I think it’s cute and I just love it. The first nails I ever did were watermelon nails and obviously they weren’t as good as this, but by anyone’s standards they pretty much sucked. Take me word for it. These nails makes me want to try them again now that I’ve honed my skills a teeny bit.

Wonderful job on your watermelon nail art! When I tried it for the first time, my hands were so shaky, the result ended up looking like I painted it during an earthquake! Yours look so neat!
