Hey Everyone!
Every now and then I get a little overwhelmed by all the new and “untried” polishes I have staring at me waiting for their turn. When this happens I find myself turning to my already tried collection and digging out an oldie. It’s kinda like comfort food or a little security blanket. A couple of days ago I started getting that overwhelming feeling when my OPI Ger-mini set came in the mail. I haven’t even opened it yet, instead I went to my oldies and pulled out Essie Bobbing for Baubles.
Bobbing fo Baubles is a perfectly creamy navy polish *sigh* exactly what I needed. When it comes to cremes Essie’s formula is usually my favorite. I applied two coats for this mani and added a small stamp as an accent nail using Julep Jessica. I originally tried stamping with Essie Something Borrowed, but Julep’s formula was much thicker and was easier to stamp with.
I hate when I can look at hundreds of bottles of polish and not want to wear any of them. It’s worse than looking at a closet full of clothes and claiming I have absolutely nothing to wear. I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets in those moods. Does anyone else have a “comfort” polish they resort to when nothing else seems appealing?

I feel the exact same way about my untrieds! I stand in front of my Helmer thinking I really need to use these polishes and then grab one that I use all the time!

I also get the same, my “comfort” polish is also an Essie. Playa del Platinum works for me everytime.

I think mine will probably start changing month to month too. I have too many to play favorites for too long.

Looking at all my new polishes and not knowing what to choose? Yes, that happens
But I really need a comfort polish, I end up putting one randomly…

I really liked Bobbing For Baubles, even though it took me forever to commit to the purchase. But that seems to happen a lot with me and Essies. Either way, its a great color. And I’m right there with you, I get that “I don’t know what to wear!” feeling all the time with my polishes. When it happens I usually pull a color out of the helmer I’ve worn a few times. Or more specifically, I reach for a color I don’t have to photograph!

I love this color absolutely gorgeous. My go-to color is either Sally Hansen Red Carpet (dupe for China Glaze Ruby Pumps) or Butter London All Hail The Queen or China Glaze Fast Track. I can always wear those!

Oooo I love Ruby Pumps, I can see why that kinda shade would be a go to color

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. I don’t have a go to colour yet, though, so I just grabbed one of the untrieds and put it on. I didn’t like it and it ended up making me all “meh” on the whole night.

Ugh I hate that feeling when you put on a color and then later on don’t like it. It sucks cause you’re stuck with it until you get your hands on remover.

I don’t have a comfort polish. If anything, the amount of untrieds stresses me out. lol I feel so wasteful sometimes.
