Firmoo Sunglasses

Hey Everyone!

When I was approached by Firmoo to provide a product review on their optical store I thought “why not?!”  I mentioned wanting to expand my blog into occasionally doing non polish related reviews (but still accustomed to my taste of course!) so I thought this would be a fun opportunity.

Incase you didn’t know, which I’m sure none of you know haha…I have absolutely horrible eye vision, I’m surprised I’m not considered legally blind yet. With horrible eye vision comes a costly price of doctors visits, contacts, prescriptions, and the cost of frames which if you wear glasses you know they don’t come very cheap. So when I read what Firmoo was about I was even more keen on sharing with my readers, especially since at least a few of you have to be somewhat blind :P As for you perfect 20/20 freaks you might find this review useful as well (especially the end), so read on.

Firmoo is an online retail site that sells discount priced eye glasses and sunglasses with either prescription lenses or non prescription, its your choice.

Since I didn’t have a current prescription handy I opted for a pair of non prescription sunglasses…it’s always good to have a back up pair in my opinion. The process was VERY easy. Once I decided on the style I filled out a quick and simple form which includes prescription info if necessary, and that was it.

This is what I received in my Firmoo package:

Sunglasses (model #OTO2513), hard case, soft sleeve case, repair kit with screws, and cleaning cloth.  I was pretty surprised and impressed with all this. It’s more than I ever get buying high end sun glasses!

Directly from Firmoo:

Why choose Firmoo.com?

“Here at Firmoo, we offer over 300 styles of affordable and stylish frames for you to choose from. Customers even can buy 8 pairs of different eyewear on our site instead of only one pair at the local retail outlet or mall with the same amount money. Different clothes, different mood, different glasses every day, sounds interesting, huh? And if you don’t want to rack your brain to think it over which style suits you most, we offer Virtual Try-On System that helps you see how you look with our glasses or sunglasses. You even are able to use your own photo to try our eyewear virtually, and also you can share your awesome try-on photo on yours and Firmoo’s Facebook wall and see what your friends think of it.”

I didn’t try the virtual try on system with my own picture, but I did with the preloaded model pics. I really enjoyed it because it gave you a better idea of the size and shape of the frames. It’s always a bit intimidating buying glasses or sunglasses without actually trying them on so that helped a bit in my deciding on frames. They also provide detailed measurements on all frames so you can determine whats best for you by that way as well.

Of course I have to incorporate nail polish into this post some how, so I paired up my new sunglasses with Zoya Paloma. I thought they went well together, not too matchy matchy yet still close in color.

My only negative with these glasses is that I found a tiny speck in one of the lenses. It seems to be inside of the lens so I couldn’t really get it off.  It doesn’t impede my vision or is that noticeable when wearing, it’s just something  I noticed while photographing my sunglasses.

Now onto the awesome part…Firmoo is offering all first time customers a free pair of eyewear. The only catch is that there is a limited amount of free pairs each day. Once you go to Firmoo’s website, select a style you like then click on “New Customer? Get your free pair now” link under the picture. If it is still available you just have to choose one of the options to “share” such as Email, Facebook or Twitter and you’ll receive a voucher for a free pair. The only thing you’ll have to pay for is shipping. If your choice happens to be unavailable you’ll see a countdown clock for when it’s available again.

Incase you’re wondering, none of these links are referral links. I am not receiving any sort of “points” or “credits” for sending you to their site. Just sharing incase any of you happen to like free stuff… ;)

Overall I’m very happy with my Firmoo sunglasses, they don’t have that cheap flimsy feeling that cheaper sunglasses tend to have. They fit perfectly and snug and I love the extra care that was given by including a screw set and two types of cases.  If you have a few dollars to spare on shipping I would suggest taking advantage of this free offer. Firmoo also ships internationally, you can find a list of which countries here, so I believe you can get in on the free pair of glasses even if you’re outside of the U.S. although shipping would cost more of course.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Weekend! Happy September!!!! …inching closer to fall! :)

I love your nail polish pick to match the glasses! I chose similar glasses in green. They frame your face beautifully!

Thanks! I almost got the green too, but went with this one cause I thought the size would fit me better.

Cute sunglasses (you can never have too many pairs!) and I like your nail polish incorporated in there as well :) Also- your bangs are so cute. Thin but nice… how come mine never look like that? Mine are always too thin (so you can see through them too much) or they make me look like I’m wearing a wig. Ughh I’m very jealous. That’s awesome that this company approached you! You are the PR queen! That one time you got perfume.. now sunglasses.. you rock! :D

lol someone has some bang envy. They’re pretty long right now so its awkward…i’m in the maybe growing out…maybe not phase. When I got them cut I showed my stylist a picture of Rory from The Gilmore Girls when she had bangs. I need to find a new stylist now since I moved :( She did such a great Rory do.

I’m always in a maybe-Im-doing-this-maybe-Im-doing-that phase with my hair. It’s long- want it short, it’s short- wish i’d left it long. Right now Im contemplating going dark but my husband looked at me like I’d said I was gonna stop washing it or something so… maybe I’ll pass. haha. Thanks for the link! :D

Awesome! I have to check these out next time. I just spent almost 900 bucks on glasses–also almost blind here. Brutal!

*cringe* My eye glass prescription is usually old since my vision gets worse each time I go to the doctor I dont want to pay for new ones each time. I wear contact all the time anyways so its okay. I just use my glasses in the morning/ at night to help me from being completely blind.

I am also blind as a bat. I unfortunately can no longer well contacts so I have to wear glasses all the time. The last time I got glasses (with my shitty insurance), I ended up paying like $1,500 for 2 pairs. Yeah, like I really needed Dior and Gucci frames. LOL

Those sunglasses look really good on you!

I’m dreading the day my eyes will be too far gone for contacts, I can’t ever do my eye makeup without contacts on. I hope you keep those dior and gucci glasses for a while, thats a tiny investment!
