Hey Everyone!
It’s officially fall!! I’ve been trying to hold off from wearing/posting fall polishes, but I can’t wait any longer! I bought my very first Del Sol polish last winter and it just so happens to be Del Sol Trick-or-Treat. I know I could have worn it any time of year really, but I wanted to wait until autumn.

Del Sol are specialty polishes that are color changing between indoor and outdoor light. In indoor light Trick-or-Treat is a fine coppery orange glitter mixed with holographic glitter. The formula isn’t very dense so it may take 4 or more coats for complete coverage if you opt to wear it on its own. Instead I used OPI Call Me Gwen-ever as my nail undies and layered two coats of Trick-or-Treat on top. It dried a little on the gritty side so it took 2 thick coats of Seche fast dry top coat to get a smooth finish.

It turned into a rusty brownish red color…not exactly what the cap lead me to believe, which was black. Maybe if I just layered it on its own it would have gotten even darker, but there’s no way it would have turned black from a brownish red. Either way, I like the burgundy color, it’s drastic enough to notice a change which was the whole point.
Do you own any Del Sol polishes? I remember only ever seeing them in little boutique/tourist shops in vacation spots or in airports. They always seemed expensive to me so I passed until I found this on Ebay and had to have it cause the bottle looked so cute and it’s Halloween theme. I think I’ve had my fill of color changing polishes though and am ready to go back to my regular glitters

Yea, it would have been cool if it turned black but I don’t mind the brownish red it turned too, it’s more fallish.

This looks sooooo cool over Call Me Gwen-ever!!! I love it indoors. Outdoors its a little disappointing because I thought, too, that it’d be black but whatever. Still looks pretty cool. I love my Del Sol Polishes and I’m going to the beach the weekend of the 20th so guess what? I’m gonna look for this polish at Del Sol!! Hopefully they have it! Maybe layering it over black would give it a better before/after look. What if you did black with glow in the dark with this on top?!! Then it would be orange inside, black outside and glowing in the dark!! Whoa that is giving me a polish-gasm! Haha.
