Hey Everyone!
The only, and I mean ONLY good thing (ok, aside from the money saving thing) about slowing down on polish buying is the fact that I can begin to make a dent in my untrieds. That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing the past few months. I still buy here and there, but only when a new collection comes out that I really like and of course I sneak in a few indies on occasion. I’ve slowed down so much I haven’t been able to qualify for my monthly 15% off coupon at Sallys! That means I’m spending less than $25 a month there, and really the money spent is usually on base and top coats and nail wheels. Yay me 
From my untrieds today I have Sinful Colors Green Ocean. Its a fairly HTF Sinful Colors that surfaced during St Patty’s Day. I’m not sure if they come out with it every St Patty’s day or not. I found my bottle this summer randomly at Walgreens, I guess there was one straggler that slipped through the cracks….and now it’s MINE
Sinful Colors Green Ocean
Green Ocean is a clear base with blue/green flakies in the normal kind of shard shapes as well as squares and hexagons. The formula is a little thick, but it’s nothing this seasoned polisher couldn’t handle. Despite the formula, it has easily become my favorite flakie polish. Most of the time I think flakies look best over black or nearly black polishes because that’s when they show their best colors. So naturally I used my favorite black cream as a base, Finger Paints Black Expressionism. Once Green Ocean coats the black base it totally comes alive in an awesome blue and green glow.

So what do you think about Green Ocean? Do you have it? If so, what colors have you layered it over? I thought the outcome would be a decent Halloween mani as well since it’s dark, but glowy. Thats just me though, right now anything black relates to Halloween for me.

I’ve pulled this color out soooo many times to use it and after having it for over a year now I still haven’t managed to actually follow through. lol. I think they release it every St. Patrick’s Day season, because I’ve seen the display for the last few years now.
It looks amazing over black, that’s for sure!

Haha, I almost put it up in my blog sale without even trying it, but then I changed my mind the last minute and tried it on and am so happy I kept it! I hope they do release it every year because its a really awesome flakie.

I’ve never seen this before. It looks great over black! I have actually slowed down on the polish buying yet I can’t explain the 100 bottles in the first couple of weeks of September…

This is pretty! It reminds me of a deep dark ocean. I’d probably stick to layering this over black or maybe a super dark green like Khloe Had A Little Lam Lam but that’s just cuz I’m boring. :-/

If you’re boring then I am too because I can’t figure out another color to layer it over that will look this good. I don’t think it reaches its full potential when its over anything other than a black or blackened out shade.

I love this Sinful Colors! It is such a gorgeous flakie! I have problems keeping the flakies from peeling off with it sometimes, though.

Hmmm I didn’t have too much of a problem with that, I did have one flakie that didn’t lay completely flat on my thumb but that was about it.

Just bought this one today. I’m wearing it over a pastel green by Essence.
Some of my flakies don’t lie flat so it needs a top coat but I’m REALLY loving this. Probably more than I should be LOL. I just love glitter.

Yea most flakie or shard type toppers I have usually have some pieces that don’t want to lay flat so I pick them out if I notice it before I put a top coat on.
