Hit Polish Witches Brew

Hey Everyone!

I’m super excited today because I have my very first Hit Polish to share with you! Hit Polish is a polish line created by D&R Apothecary which also makes and sells artisan bath and body products such as soaps and lip balms. They are currently transitioning into phasing out D&R Apothecary and mainly producing Hit Polish so I’m unsure how much longer soaps and such will be available.

Hit Polishes are mostly available in mini size, with a few available in full size. I personally love minis because at my rate I will never go through a whole bottle of polish so a mini size is more convenient for me. Plus mini’s are less costly so I have more opportunity to try multiple colors. I purchased 4 minis: Big Top, Jack Loves Sally, Witches Brew and Autumn Harvest. All of which I’m super excited about. I’m trying to pace myself so I just have Witches Brew to show you today.

Heres a peek at all of my Hit Polish bottles…I love looking at them, so pretty!!

Ok, enough drooling. Onto today’s featured polish, Witches Brew.

Hit Polish Witches Brew

Witches Brew is a densely packed clear base glitter polish. It has multiple sizes of hex shaped glitters in orange, blue and holographic green. The formula is on the thick side, but this is typical for this sort of super glittery indie polish. It’s not impossible to work with, but if it bothers you theres always the option of adding thinner. I layered one coat of Witches Brew over two coats Orly Mysterious Curse which is a slightly duochromed blurple. I didn’t have to fish for glitter, but I did push glitter around for preferred placement.  I finished this mani off with one coat of Gelous to smooth over the glitter and an additional top coat of Seche.

Recommence drooling….

So what do you think about Witches Brew? My only complaint about this mani is that the blue glitter didn’t really pop as much as the other colors because it blended in with Mysterious Curse. Thats all on my part though.

You can purchase Hit Polish through their Etsy shop. Mini’s are regularly priced at $4.25 and Full Size is $8.25. There’s also an option to request a full size bottle of a mini polish if it is not listed. Rachel, the shop owner and creator, often has special sales. I purchased my minis for about $2.80 during her 34% off sale in celebration of her 34th Birthday. This Friday starting at 5pm EST (Oct 12th) through Sunday (Oct 14th)  she is having yet another sale for 20% off all minis in celebration of her wedding anniversary. In addition once she reaches 5000 sales she will add a complimentary mini polish specially made for the occasion to all orders that were placed on that day.  I highly suggest liking the D&R Apothecary Facebook page if you want to stay on top of sale announcements, theres always something going on!

Did I mention that there are usually roughly 80 – 100 different mini polishes to choose from? She’s craaaaaazy!! If you are a fan of indie glitters I highly suggest you check out Hit Polish, there’s no way you wont be able to find something you like with that sort of selection.

And they save up so much space too! I like fitting mine in between full size bottles so they’re getting a lil piggy back ride :)

Wow that’s really pretty! I love all the colors and shapes and sizes. Im a sucker for a multi multi glitter. I like it over MC just fine but I would want to make a jelly sandwich out of it with like white or grey. I just love how it changes up the glitter and looks like fun-fetti cake. Haha. Maybe I’m just hungry. ;)

I love the fun-fetti look too :) I was experimenting making sandwiches with my other Hit glitters, but they’re so sparkly I wanted to wear them alone first. Mmmm now I want fun-fetti anything. Did you know they have funfetti pancake mix? I want funfetti pancakes now.
