OPI Here Today Aragone Tomorrow

Hey Everyone!

Ohhhhh my god. I’ve been so strapped for time I’m getting so stressed! I went from having too much time on my hands to none at all. I just started a full time job this week and not having those 8 hours free in my day anymore is a big change. Work, school, classes, midterm!, boxing, blogging, boyfriend time…then maybe eat, sleep, and poop if I have time. On top of that I had taken off my Orly Nail Rescue (which I previously reviewed), but didn’t take the time to reapply it so I just painted my nails last night and today my break just completely broke off :( (  So this will be my last nubb-ish post before I have super nubs.

Enough venting! On to the polish! Here Today Aragone Tomorrow (just like my nail! *weeping*) is from OPI’s Spain Collection released in 2009.  It wasn’t until last month did I bother picking up this color. I first saw it about 3 years ago  when my bestie chose this color as her mani at a nail salon we had free vouchers for. Of course I can remember what was on her nails, but I have absolutely no idea what I had done to mine.

Here today Aragone Tomorrow is a very dark forest green, almost blackened but not quite.  The formula for this polish was a little odd. Upon applying the first coat the lacquer looked very grainy. It applied smooth, but was a little streaky as well. After two coats the grain and streaks were not visible anymore. The graininess didn’t affect the texture, but it just looked weird.  I used two coats with the second being a little on the thick side. I’d recommend 2-3 coats.

Overall I’m really happy with Here Today Aragon Tomorrow despite the weird grains in the first coat. It’s definitely unique in my collection as I don’t think I have any colors similar to this. I do have Essie Stylenomics that I have yet to try on which might be similar, but I don’t think they are exact.

That sucks about the break! I think I’m stuck with perma-nubs thanks to years of nailbiting. I love this colour on you!

Thanks, I keep looking down at my poor crooked nail nub all sad next to my perfectly shaped and in tact nails.

So sad! I just finished growing out a rip on my thumbnail (patches NEVER stayed put) and then a few days ago a different nail ripped on the side. ARGH! So, I empathize with you. I’m really tempted to buy Orly Nail Rescue as the teabag/superglue method is not working. I’m glad nails keep growing!

Oh man, if nails didn’t grow we’d all just have sad lil stubs! I’d recommend trying Orly Nail Rescue, it was working great until I took it off >.<

Awww, hang in there! BTW, I thought I was the ONLY ONE who noticed how weird the formula is… but still a great color!

It is weird isn’t it?! But then its not noticeable at all after the first coat so that was a relief.
