Hey Everyone!
It’s jelly sandwich time! I think I’ve only done one…maybe two, max, jelly sandwiches before so I figured I’d take another shot at one. My polishes of choice: Color Club Sugar Plum Yum and Zoya Frida.
Zoya Frida is from the 2012 NYFW Gloss trio which also includes Paloma and Katherine. They are VERY sheer jelly polishes which is perfect for jelly sandwich layering. I first applied 4 coats of Frida to achieve a somewhat opaque base. Yes, it did take some time to dry, but its worth the wait. Next I applied my glitter which is Color Club Sugar Plum Yum, a mix of multi sized hex glitter in green and purple. It’s a bit chunky so one coat was plenty enough for application. Its also scented, I can’t really say what exactly its supposed to smell like but to me it has that generic fruity scratch n sniff smell. Once that dried I applied a very thick coat of Frida on top. My thick coat probably equaled to two normal coats so either would work.
So after a few hours it should all be dry and ready for a top coat. Totally kidding, it takes some time to dry but no where near a few hours
To speed up the drying I applied a coat of Seche Vite fast dry top coat. Everything is still squishy underneath, but at least the top is dry to give it some protection.
I’m really enjoying wearing this sandwich and I’m especially glad I finally found a use for Sugar Plum Yum since I’ve had it since last Christmas! What do you think about jelly sandwiches? They’re a great way to add some depth to a mani and an alternate way to wear glitter in a more subtle way. However I know theres plenty of people out there that love the sparkle and the more glitter the better!

This looks so pretty and squishy! I also love jelly sandwiches, makes it easier justify all the glitter in my collection.

I thought I had Sugar Plum Yum but now I know that I don’t. That macro shot of SPY is ah-mazing! I think this looks gorgeous, and I will definitely be getting the Zoya jellies.

Good
You’ll like the gloss collection if you like jelly sandwiches. Just be patient cause they’re super sheer but buildable.

Love this combo!! Was the glitter still scented after you put Frida over it?
