Sooo…I’m addicted to Hit Polish. I just received my second order of 8 polishes…I cannot resist! As I mentioned in my previous post Hit Polish offers between 80-100 different mixes of glitter top coats. Crazy right? Well Rachel, the shop owner, decided to scale back and discontinue a lot of her polishes to make it a bit more manageable. I believe she will be carrying 35 in her permanent line for now which is still a lot, but much less crazy. Some of the polishes I had ordered ended up being discontinued so I’m relieved I ordered them. However, I’ll still be posting them and I apologize in advance for showing you pretty things you may not be able to get. There is a chance that she will bring back a few discontinued polishes every now and then so don’t fret.
Ok enough talk…onto some awesomeness. The polish I was most excited about getting was Jack Loves Sally. I, just like so many others, loooove The Nightmare Before Christmas. There’s been a few other Halloween collections that included TNBC themed polishes, but Jack Loves Sally drew me in the most.
Jack Loves Sally is a clear base polish with a mix of a multitude of different colors and shaped glitters. Which include multiple sized hex glitter in black, white, blue, orange, purple, and yellow. As well as squares in yellow and blue and black bar glitter. Normally I don’t like bar glitter, but this is one of the exceptions because its so scarce. I really love the mix of glitter, the brights represent Sally’s patches and the black and whites are perfect for Jack of course!
I couldn’t decided which I like best so I have two different versions of layering to share.
First up is one coat of Jack Loves Sally over two coats China Glaze Elephant Walk.
Layering Jack Loves Sally over a gray lets each color pop and the grayness is appropriate for the atmosphere of Halloween Town
The second I paired up Haunted Heart with Jack Loves Sally I immediately thought of Sally’s fiery orange hair and all of her bright colored patches and stitching.
Application for Jack Loves Sally was pretty good. Since it has so many different types of shapes and colors I tend to move and dab glitter around to get everything where I want.
So which do you like better, the gray or fiery orange version? I still can’t decide!
