Hey Everyone!
I really have no idea what to call this mani that my brain concocted. I think I used up all of my creativity on this mani that I have no juice left to actually name it. So I’m just referring to it as “Grassy Night Sky”.
When I did this mani I had no real inspiration for it…I kinda just saw the colors sitting in front of me and then this happened. If I really tried to describe this mani I’d say it reminds me of laying in tall grass at night looking up at the stars and fireflies. I’m not a nature person so the thought of my laying in the middle of the night in tall grass creeps me out lol. I also avoid bugs at all costs, fireflies are no exception. So, I guess this is just all imagination.
I completely forgot to take bottle shots of what I used so I’ll only be listing them:
China Glaze – Haunting (base color)
Essie – Mojito Madness (grass)
OPI – Candlelight (yellow fireflies)
OPI – DS Temptation (I dunno, but it’s the sparkly purple dots)
Red Angel Stamping Plates – RA-105 and RA-118 (grass)
This mani was fairly simple. Once I applied my base color I stamped the grass using RA-118 on all of my nails except the ring finger. I then stamped using RA-105 on my ring finger as an accent nail. RA-105 has an image of grass as well as the dots above it. I filled in the dots using OPI Candlelight and DS Temptation.
And thats how it happened…

Beautiful job! Your nails triggered a memory of camping with fireflies in the background. Just gorgeous!

Thank you! I just bought CG Haunting and it’s so pretty and I love that the silver glitter doesn’t get swallowed by the black cream base.

I’ve loved this mani ever since you put the pic of it on your Instagram, I’m so glad you finally posted it here! Fireflies are just about my favorite thing ever, so I’m going to have to try to recreate this. =)

See, Frosso, I love spending time outdoors. Lying under the stars on a warm summer night with some fireflies twinkling above among the stars seems like a perfect evening. I’m glad that while you don’t enjoy actually doing that, you and I can both enjoy the idea of it while looking at your lovely manicure.

Haha, thank you for the kind words rather than giving a hard time about my lack of inner nature girl.
Maybe one day I’ll lay in the grass at night…with a blanket and flashlight of course.

This is so pretty! It’s dark but fun all at once. I have been wanting to get some Red Angel plates…what do you think of the quality?

I think RA plates are good. I only have Konad to compare them to and I prefer Konad over any other plates, but I haven’t had any issues with RA. The only complaint about them are that the edges are kind of sharp. It doesn’t effect the stamping, but you have to be more careful when handling them cause they feel like you can easily cut yourself on the edges.
