Hey Everyone!

Let me just get right to it…this mani was a fail. I attempted my first “spun sugar” mani and it started out well, but then took a downward spiral. I need to learn to just leave well enough alone.

As my base color I used 3 coats of China Glaze Creative Fantasy. My next step was applying strings of black polish. I used Nails Inc Black Taxi because my bottle was already starting to get a little thick so I figured that was perfect, which it was. Then I decided to apply white strings too, I used Zoya Snow White. My big fault here was not letting Snow White get stringy enough, so it applied too chunky and thick Then I applied a top coat and of course it bubbled. Arrrgghhh…so annoyed.

Another lesson learned, or not…I need to be more patient with nail art. Patience grasshopper….patience.

Hey Everyone!

I was in a bit of a rush yesterday to get my nails done. I had a final and my bestie’s bday party to go to right after. She’s very much into themes so this year it’s a “Sea-licious” type of theme. I could have totally put more effort into this, but for an easy mani I slapped on OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook.

Can’t Find My Czechbook is from the recent Euro Centrale Collection. The best way I can describe this shade is by calling it a dusty cyan cream. The dusty aspect of it keeps it a bit muted so it’s not a bright in your face shade. I applied two easy coats and topped it with Seche Fast Dry.

The Euro Centrale Collection was a fairly pleasing collection, I managed to behave and only picked this one up from the entire collection (go me!). I’m very happy with my choice

Hey Everyone!

When ever I do nail art I usually have no idea what to name my posts other than being completely literal. Just thought I’d share that lol. If you couldn’t tell by the title of this post, I did another dotticure and added a bow.

Dots and Bow

Usually once the weather starts to get warmer I really enjoy nude and neutral polishes. I guess I just like that clean light weight feeling of my nails. Recently OPI Tickle My France-y has shot up to one of my favorite nude polishes so I used it for my base in this mani. The black dots were applied with my dotting tools and Finger Paints Black Expressionism. For a simple accent I stamped a bow using Konad Black and Born Pretty Store stamping plate QA5.

Yup I made mistakes again. I somehow managed to string some black polish in between some dots. Yay me for not catching it until I see the photos! It’s ok, I kinda of expect it lol.

Hey Everyone!

I’ve never attempted a half moon mani, nor have I ever attempted a half moon stamp. Lining up the half moon to my cuticle seemed too advanced for me lol. I put on my big blogger pants and gave it a try anyways.

I guess you can call this a bubbly half moon stamp? The image was taken from my Red Angel 110 stamping plate. For my base color I used China Glaze For Audrey (which I got for $2 because it was incorrectly marked at Sally’s for clearance!) and then I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fuchsia Flare (not fuchsia at all, more bubble gum pink) to stamp my image.

The half moon stamping was a bit tricky at first. This was actually my second attempt at it. It’s not exactly perfect, but it came out a billion times better than my first go at it
